at first glance,

i looked at you.

the galaxies held in the vastness in your eyes,

the infinite universe you possessed in your smile

because to me,

you were the sun, moon, and all of my planets.

i was more than obliged to orbit you,

a satellite transfixed in your gravitational pull.

the inertia was exhilarating

but to you,

i was merely a star,

lost in the sky,

surrounded by those who always managed to shine brighter.

now looking at you,

i can see what you really are.

the boundless nature of your being.

a black hole,

devouring,

destroying everything in sight.
